Mission Statement:
The major aim of Dumfries & Galloway Chamber of Commerce is to be the principal voice and representative body for the business community in Dumfries & Galloway.
Dumfries & Galloway Chamber of Commerce has a clear vision for a strong dynamic economy in the region.
The effective growth and prosperity of our businesses will contribute directly to the health of our people, communities and economy.
In a competitive world trading internationally, businesses in our region need a strong representative voice that will be heard at all levels of government and our Chamber aims to provide this.
It is only by working together, that all agencies will be able to move forward together and perhaps establish a working model which will lead to a Smart, Successful Scotland .
We endorse the phrase that 'Dumfries & Galloway is the natural place to do business' and over the next few years we want to promote our region and see the growth of our existing businesses as well as the establishment of new enterprise - small, medium and large.
We wish to see our businesses valued and are fully supportive of investment in communications and technology as we recognise that the international business world is changing rapidly and that our members need to be equipped to be ahead of these changes.
We recognise that we can only achieve success in our objectives by working closely in partnership with other agencies and we have made a commitment to do this over the next few years.
We wish to be perceived as an ACTION and IDEAS Chamber and will work hard to deliver genuine additions to those provided by other agencies.
